from the dept. Charles Scherzer of the Lompoc senior Commission says, "Seniors deserve recognition" Charles Scherzer of the Lompoc senior Commission says, "Seniors deserve recognition" He voiced his concern and opinion at the close of one the Lompoc city council meetings. He said that he thought that are many ways that the community could "recognize our Respect" for Lompoc seniors. Suggested ways for showing respect for our seniors: 1) A special seat at every community parade 2) Field trips by younger school age children to senior homes and care centers 3) High school and middle school musical program given to senior citizen groups. 4) More media attention given to our senior citizens 5) A Seniors go to the front of the line attitude for Lompoc business owners and event host. I think these are all really great ideas on how we as a small community can show Our respect and love for a very special group of people. < Housing crunch persists for poorest | Novelist spurs passion over parking >
